The VAX4ASF project is inviting professionals across the animal health ecosystem to contribute their perception through a new stakeholder surveys focused on African swine fever (ASF) vaccination and surveillance strategies.
Strengthening collaboration for effective ASF control
African swine fever remains one of the most complex and devastating infectious diseases affecting pigs and wild boar, with significant implications for animal health, food security, and sustainable livestock production. Despite ongoing efforts, there is still no widely available commercial vaccine, making innovative vaccine development and improved control strategies a global priority.
In this context, VAX4ASF is working to develop safe and effective vaccine solutions against the ASF virus (ASFV). A key component of this effort is the active involvement of stakeholders across the value chain.
The project recognises that stakeholder engagement is essential to ensure that scientific advances translate into practical, scalable, and widely accepted solutions.
